What's in a Trunk?...
Most trunks are made with wood, usually pine. The wood is formed into a box shape, some rectangular and some more fancy like a dome top or Jenny Lind (hourglass type). The box is then covered with a weather proofing or decorative covering. The covering can be leather, canvas, paper, tin or rolled sheet steel which may or may not be embossed.
