The so called "Sofa Table" was originally called a "Davenport Table", and it's function was to stand behind a davenport (that is what they called a sofa back in 1924) and hold a lamp, books and magazines or family pictures and other articles.
The "Morris chair" - is a style first devised by the firm of the great English designer, William Morris. While many Morris Chairs have been manufactured, and continue to be popular, the vast majority are in the Stickley or Mission style. >>Read Morris Chair History
