Harvest tables are a traditional table from the old farms. The planks or boards would run length ways. The farmers would have a large dinner during the harvest on these large tables and thus the name "harvest table".
Tables in old farms often did double- or triple-duty being used as a preparation surface for the kitchen as well as a dining table for the entire extended family as well as farm hands. These were not tables that were carefully protected from use and wear, but rather were the centerpiece of the home and thus they saw a lot of history, use, and love!
